At Cherry Hinton you will find a fully equiped playground and paddling pool (unsupervised), crèche & organised children’s area (Fri, 12 noon-6pm and Sat, 1pm – 5pm & 6.30pm – 8.30pm; crèche capacity 30; ages 2-8 only; 4 spaces reserved for ages 2-3), a children’s concert, a kids’ ceilidh, children’s games, storytelling plus music & dance workshops.
Full Festival Children’s tickets are only available when purchasing an adult ticket. None will be available on the day. Children under 5 are admitted free but still require a ticket. There is a charge for children aged 5-15 and proof of age will be required for any child aged 10-15. All children must be accompanied.
Each year we face unnecessary problems with parents losing their children. Take responsibility for your children. Children under 14 must be accompanied and never left alone in the campsites. Arrange your own family meeting point should you become separated eg your tent. Report lost children to HQ where announcements can be coordinated. Ensure your child has your mobile number, eg written inside their wristband.
There is a whole variety of children’s entertainment throughout the weekend, which generally takes place before the start of the music.
At Coldhams Common this includes music & dance workshops, storytelling, face-painting, instrument making, painting and a procession.
