A GREENER FESTIVAL

The Co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival gets underway this week and after winning a Greener Festival Award last year the Festival, organised by Cambridge City Council, is building even further on its success.

There's going to be so much happening at this year's Festival we couldn't possibly list it all, but here's a few of the highlights...

FREE RAIL TRAVEL INCENTIVES TO THE FESTIVAL WITH Cross Country Trains

As part of it's drive to encourage people to attend The Co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival by public transport, we have teamed up with CrossCountry Trains to offer five free return journeys on the CrossCountry network as prizes to attend this year's Festival. When you arrive at Cambridge Railway Station you can then use the free buses provided to travel to either of the Festival sites.

ENGLISH FOLK MUSIC RECEIVES A FURTHER BOOST AT THE CO-OPERATIVE CAMBRIDGE FOLK FESTIVAL 2009

The Co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival has been at the forefront of the huge resurgence in English folk music led by younger artists including Kate Rusby, Seth Lakeman, Eliza Carthy, Rachel Unthank, Jim Moray and Lisa Knapp.
