On Friday 31st July, why not join the Cambridge Comhaltas for traditional Irish music session at Cambridge Comhaltas’s base — the Rathmore Club. Join in with your folk instrument or just soak up the atmosphere.
Cambridge Comhaltas is the local branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (meaning ‘Society of the musicians of Ireland’) and promotes Irish traditional music, song, dance, and the language itself. The branch membership boasts a wide age range and meets on a Wednesday, with music lessons starting early in the evening and culminating in a welcoming beginners and improvers folk music session to round the night off.
A 10-minute walk from Cherry Hinton Hall, this is a great session to enjoy if you are camping onsite and want to start the festivities early! Session runs from 19:30 – till late.
