In an exciting new chapter for 2026, the Cambridge Folk Festival, presented by Cambridge City Council, will reach further than ever before.

One of the most celebrated fixtures in the UK’s summer calendar, the festival returns with an expanded, city-wide programme of multi-venue events, culminating in a two-day celebration on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August at its spiritual home, Cherry Hinton Hall.

In the lead-up to the main weekend, organisers will collaborate with local venues, promoters and folk clubs to deliver a diverse range of performances across the city. Highlights will include concerts at Cambridge Corn Exchange on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July, followed by events at venues throughout Cambridge during July.

Cambridgeshire Music will once again host its Summer School from 27–30 July, culminating in a special finale performance on Saturday 1 August as part of the Cherry Hinton Hall weekend.

This bold new approach offers even more opportunities for loyal audiences to experience the music they love, while warmly welcoming new listeners into the festival community.
