You can buy tickets online. The Cambridge City Box Office is the sole outlet for the Folk Festival (other than payment-plan tickets through Gigantic). We regret that we cannot guarantee the validity of tickets bought through any other outlet.
Phonelines are open 10am - 5pm Monday - Friday (01223 357851), please note - due to staffing availability, there may be times we are not able to open phonelines during our stated hours. If we are not open, please email tickets@cambridge.gov.uk with your query and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Yes. There is a Box Office on site at Cherry Hinton where you can still purchase tickets, subject to availability. This will be open from 10am each morning (Saturday & Sunday).

You can buy a maximum of 10 adult tickets, per person or per booking.

Tickets cannot be exchanged, transferred or re-sold.

We are working hard to keep the ticket prices affordable so have introduced a Young Folk ticket for 14–25-year-olds and Under 13’s go free!

Yes, everyone needs a ticket. Children 13 and under are admitted free but still require a ticket and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult on arrival.

No. To camp, you must purchase sufficient camping tickets for the size of your tent for the campsite of your choice. One camping ticket entitles you to a plot large enough for a 2/3 berth tent (max size 4.5m x 3.5m inc guy ropes, measured from the longest to the widest point). Each tent, awning or canopy will require its own Camping ticket.
Camping is available for 3 nights (31st July – 3rd August)
Please not the arena will NOT be open on the Friday night, but please check the events page to see what is taking place across the city.
Festival Experience

The arena will be open from 10am both Saturday and Sunday. The on-site box office/wristband exchange will also be open each morning at 10am.

The arena will close at 11pm both Saturday and Sunday
All campers will have to be off-site by 1pm Monday following the festival.

Only assistance dogs will be allowed at the event – please note this includes all campsites.

There will be no cashpoints on site.

Attendees are permitted to bring their own alcohol for personal consumption within the campsite only.
No alcohol may be taken into the main arena. All bags and persons may be searched on entry, and any alcohol found will be confiscated. This rule will be strictly enforced.
This policy has been introduced to support the long-term financial sustainability of the festival and to ensure we can continue to deliver a safe, high-quality event.

No, there is no onsite shop for basic food supplies at the festival, but we do have food and drink on offer from our many different caterers and bars in the main arena. There is a 24hr Budgens located in the Petrol station opposite the site. Also, you can find a Co-op store on the corner of Cherry Hinton Road and Perne Road, plus a Tesco store nearby in Fulbourn.

If you are bringing a chair, do not put up a chair to reserve space or leave chairs up when unoccupied. Do not place in circles, around blankets or to hinder access. Please don't leave chairs up if you aren't using them or put them around blankets.
Stewards will ask you to move or remove chairs and blankets if we are running out of space, please respect those requests
If you leave any unattended items, they will be removed. Chairs pictured or other items which may cause an obstruction, are not allowed within marquees.

Getting to the Festival

Transport emissions from festival customers make up the largest part of our carbon footprint! You can all really help by considering your own impact and planning for a green sustainable journey.

Anyone attending the festival arriving from Cambridge Rail Station and going to the festival site can catch one of the regular buses to Cherry Hinton Hall (The Cambridge Folk Festival site). Journeys cost from £2 and you can buy a ticket directly from the bus driver. Buses run every 10 minutes and Citi buses are all wheelchair accessible.

Cherry Hinton Hall is a 35–45-minute walk from the train station.

Folks cycling to the festival can lock their bikes at the bike racks opposite the Cherry Hinton Hall site.

Yes, parking is available at Netherhall Secondary School £20 for a full weekend and £10 per day. You can purchase parking tickets when tickets go on sale
Camping

Cherry Hinton campsite is the only campsite this year and is on the same site as the Festival arena and stages. Cherry Hinton Hall campsite is a beautiful park complete with a duck pond, gardens, lovely trees, and a small country house. The campsite surrounds the main arena and has a wonderful atmosphere.
There are no showers on the Cherry Hinton site, more information on alternative showers to follow.

There are a very small number of caravan pitches for the Cherry Hinton Hall Campsite, which are available on first come, first served basis from Cambridge City Box Office.
There is no power supply to the campsites.
